Frequently asked questions
Adults dealing with anxiety, depression, panic, health anxiety, stress and burnout, obsessive-compulsive disorder, PTSD and other trauma, or perinatal mental health difficulties. If you’re not sure your situation fits any of these, mention it in the get-started questionnaire and our clinical team will give you a straight answer.
A secure video call at a fixed weekly time, running for around 50 minutes. You’re sent a link ahead of each appointment, and the session follows much the same shape as an in-person one.

No, you can refer yourself through get started. A GP referral only becomes relevant if an insurer requires one before covering your sessions.
We need at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancelling with less notice than that may still mean the full fee applies, since the time had already been set aside for you alone.
That depends on your specific policy and provider, so raise it during get started and we’ll talk through what your insurer typically asks for, such as a referral letter or pre-authorisation.

A private space where you won’t be overheard or interrupted, and a stable internet connection. People join from a laptop, tablet or phone, whichever suits them.
No, our practice is for adults only. A GP or school is the right route to NHS child and adolescent mental health services for anyone younger.
A member of our clinical team reads it, matches you with a psychologist from the team, and comes back to you with a proposed first session, usually within a few working days.
By card or bank transfer, settled before each session. You’ll get the payment details once you’ve been matched with your psychologist.
For the majority of what we treat, the research says yes. Online delivery compares well with in-person therapy, and structured approaches such as CBT and EMDR carry across to video without much loss.
Not currently. Every session runs online over secure video, and we will update this site as the practice develops.
Contact us anyway if you’d like to, but a crisis needs a faster response than we can offer. Call 999, contact your GP, or speak to the Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night.
